Google defines A Contact Lens Evaluation as:
“A contact lens evaluation is a separate part of a comprehensive eye examination and requires additional testing that people who do not wear contact lenses do not need to have. Patients wearing contact lenses require more of the doctor’s time and expertise.”
Several other factors are also involved, such as trial lenses to determine your compatibility with one or more (if needed) products. Also any additional issues or concerns may be addressed by making a follow up appointment free of charge for 90 days after your exam!
Contact lens technology has come a long way in just the past few years. Many patients who previously were unable to wear contact lenses due to discomfort or dry eyes, are pleasantly surprised to find that things have changed significantly! If it has been more than 2 years since you have tried/worn contact lenses, make an Contact Lens Evaluation appointment, you may be surprised too!
